So a member of the Dev Team (yes the actual Dev Team) has made a plugin for the iPhone's native Youtube application, called YourTube. It allows You to download and watch Youtube videos right in the app. Now there is a catch, it isn't free. It costs $2.00, but it is well worth it. I give it 10 stars because of the affordable price, the ease of use, and it replaces MXTube (which had an ugly UI anyways).

Ever wanted good quality videos, VoIP, and unlimited app store data transfer ? Look no further ! 3G unrestrictor is your friend. This simple app lets you trick apps into thinking they are on wi-fi. So you can get thoses good quality youtube videos on the go. Only downside... it's 2 $ from the cydia store. So for an overall review, it spikes a 9.9, because it's usefulness if only covered for a few apps.

BlackSn0w

This is a project I have been working on for some while now. It's called BlackSn0w. ( Yes, just like the iPhone unlocks, yellowsn0w, purplesn0w, etc ) . This program simply lets you unlock your blackberry ( currently only curve and pearl ) for FREE. It uses a source code to automatically get your unlock code from your IMEI. It's easy and simple to use. I will release a beta version soon, as well as the open source for everyone to enjoy.

A nifty Cydia app to fool your friends.

Do you have an iPhone 3G? Have you wanted to make your friends think you have an iPhone 3GS? Well I stumbled upon Compassf in Cydia. What is it you ask? Its a fake replica of the iPhone 3GS' Compass.app So go search "Compass" in Cydia to download Compassf and start fooling your friends! Out of 10 stars/points/chalupas(or whatever 10 things you want) I give it a 9.5 The only downside to it is that there is a little "i" in the bottom right corner that if you press it, it says "Info: Thi is a fake app" Seriously, who the h**l would put that there?

Note: This is not an actual compass. It just looks like one.

Purplesn0w

Geohot has just released his own iPhone 3GS software unlock and named it purplesn0w. Who is purplesn0w for? If you own a jailbroken iPhone 3GS running firmware 3.0 and you want to unlock it to use it with another carrier (T-Mobile only in the USA), then purplesn0w is for you. Are you experiencing wifi/battery/other unlocking problems after using ultrasn0w? Then I highly recommend you try purplesn0w. Geohot says that it’s the best unlock out there.

purplesn0w patches three files: CommCenter, lockdownd, and wildcard. It also uses tha at+xlog exploit that Oranav found. As of right now purplesn0w is in beta, but I thought I’d post it here since a lot of users here have been reporting issues with the current ultrasn0w unlock from the iPhone Dev Team. If you’re using a jailbroken iPhone 3G/iPhone 3GS and want to unlock, please try purplesn0w and tell us how it goes.

Here is how to install purplesn0w:

* Make sure you have a legit activated iPhone 3GS. If you have T-Mobile make sure you disable 3G in the settings.

• Open Cydia, and add http://apt.geohot.com to your sources
• Install the com.geohot.purplesn0w package
• Watch for the success output in Cydia
• Reboot your iPhone 3GS

Once you have followed the steps above, your iPhone 3GS should be unlocked! Don’t forget to post your unlocking experience in the comments.

Update: Geohot has also posted technical details of purplesn0w here along with the source code of purplesn0w. He plans to release an updated version of purplesn0w with hactivation support.

PurpleRa1n review.

This is how the ipod/iphone jailbreak should have always been. 1 click jailbreak. It existed before in 1.1.X , why not generalize it. PurpleRa1n is made my geohot( the first person to ever unlock the iphone) and it is made to simply jailbreak the 3GS.

Review of the new RedPwn Windows Jailbreak tool

You probably are asking yourself "wtf is RedPwn?" It is a program very similar to Quickpwn, but for 3.0. If you are a Redsn0w hater, you will love RedPwn. Now one thing i will not have in the video (will be uploaded soon. im having some camera problems once again.), is that you have to reboot after jailbreaking to get WinterBoard and SBSettings to work. Over all this is a really simple GUI/Command line program. Out of 10 stars, I would give them a 8 1/2, due to several facts (one being that you have to manually install Mobile Substrate after jailbreaking if you chose WinterBoard).
